Chilled Day.

Alfred Sung Open Cardigan| Forever 21 Cami | H&M Leggings | Aldo Watch | Aldo Bag(sold out online) | Converse All Star

It's been a chill day of work, listening to music and other things. This is an outfit I wore to the movies… I saw "Tyler Perry's: The Single Moms Club, I loved it (Cocoa Brown) is too funny.
I wanted something comfy so I opted for this open cardigan, a basic cami, leggings, chucks and my go-to accessories for a casual but cool look.

It's getting warmer and I'm loving it…I don't trust the weather though because it's bipolar ass (excuse my French) can decide to start snowing again tomorrow.
Hope you all are alright? Always spoil yourself once in a while, you deserve it.
                                                    Stay Beautiful. xx

"Doing Things"

Forever 21 Midi Skirt | Thrifted Blazer | Marc B Bag | House of Harlow Shoes via Holt Renfrew |
                                                                          H&M Jewellery

By doing a little bit each day, you can get a lot accomplished. When you make up your mind to do something, no matter how difficult you think it might be, just doing it rather than spending time thinking of doing it is what gets you results. It doesn't have to be perfect, the important thing is you tried.

I've had these pictures sitting in my photo library for a while. Everyday I keep saying I'll blog today but I keep postponing for no reason. So today I said I must blog and rather than postponing or trying to tell myself why I shouldn't do it, I just did it.

I really wanted to share this gawjess(gorgeous) blazer I got from the thrift store with you (don't sleep on the thrift store). I know lots of people like to think thrifting is for poor and broke people…let me start by telling you you're very wrong. You find "gems" at the thrift store for very good prices, also keep in mind that by doing so, you're also doing a good deed because the money goes to charity.
So I paired the blazer with my favourite skirt at the moment and a basic vest. Accessorized with a red bag and some simple gold jewellery. Hair in a bun (I love carrying my natural hair in a bun) and Ruby Woo on my lips and I was set to go.

Thanks for reading. Stay Beautiful. xx

Building A Wardrobe: Wardrobe Essentials.

Wardrobe essentials are basically building blocks to a  functional style. They are clothes you need to make your closet solid. Lots of people may not know that they lack the essentials because they have a closet overflowing with clothes. Some signs that make it easy to know you lack the essentials are:
*You always say you don't have anything to wear even when your closet is stuffed.
*You feel like your outfit is always boring.

Wardrobe essentials are versatile, they can be worn on all occasions, you can always add accessories to change the look, without them, you feel like something is missing. They might not be exciting to some but they definitely make your wardrobe flexible. They are classics that will never be outdated and they go with everything.
Below are some items I feel are essential in a wardrobe. I'll advise to get them in neutral colours; black, white, grey, cream, beige.

1. Camisoles: get them in neutral colours, they are very versatile. Can be worn under see through blouses, can be paired with disco pants or a pencil skirt for a night out.

2. Short Sleeve T-shirts: v-necks or crew necks can either be dressed up and down for the casual chic look.

3. White Dress Shirt: grown woman essential! For interviews or other formal occasions pair a white dress shirt with trousers and pumps for a classy and sophisticated look. Can also be worn with denim and skirts for a trendy look.

4. Black Blazer: can be worn formal and casual. Can be thrown over a white dress shirt for a formal look or can be thrown over a t-shirt and jeans for a casual look.

5. Basic Jeans: go for a pair that fits perfectly either in black wash or dark blue. Make sure it flatters your body type, you'll never regret it. So many looks can be put together with denim depending on occasion, it can go from day to night.

6. Pencil Skirt: a pencil skirt can be worn anywhere, anytime and in different ways. Church, work, weddings, parties, you name it.

7. Little Black Dress: because you are not a lady if you don't have one in your closet. This…works with anything! Anytime, anywhere.

Go easy on the trends and invest in essentials. Keep in mind that there are more essentials, these are just  basics to start with.
Thoughts? Do you have some of these items? Or maybe all? What are some of your closet staples?
                                                              Stay Beautiful! xx

25 Random Facts About Me.

Hey there guys, I just posted a new video on my youtube so be sure to check it out. It's just 25 random facts about me. Stay Beautiful. xoxo

DIY: Face Masks

It is essential to take better care of our skin as we grow older. But sometimes, monthly facials or facial products don't always fit in our budget. Today I'm sharing two homemade face mask recipes for all skin types with you all. The ingredients are very affordable and you probably already have most of them hanging around in your kitchen. When skin isn't exfoliated, it can appear ashy and nobody wants ashy looking skin now so don't be left behind. Face masks exfoliate and moisturize skin, leaving it feeling rejuvenated, refreshing and soft. Before using any face mask, pour hot water in a bowl and put your face above it, the steam opens up your pores. Also make sure face is free of makeup and squeaky clean.

1. Honey and Lemon Face Mask
Mix two tablespoons of honey (microwave for a few minutes if hard) and juice from one lemon in to a bowl and apply all over face avoiding your eyes. Leave it on your face for 20-30 minutes so the mixture soaks into your skin. Wash off with warm water or wipe off with a damp towel. Pat face dry with a towel and follow up with a moisturizer. This face mask helps to remove dead skin cells and clear blackheads. As we all may know honey is a natural antioxidant.
INGREDIENTS- 1 lemon, 2 tablespoons of honey.

2. Yogurt Face Mask
This simple face mask works for all skin types. Mix 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt (greek or plain) with 1 tablespoon of honey (microwave if hard). Apply all over face and leave it on for 15 minutes so it all soaks in. Wash face with warm water and moisturize.
For oily skin, add fresh lime juice.
For dry skin, use an extra tablespoon of honey.
INGREDIENTS- 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/2 lime

TIP - after washing face with warm water, rub an ice cube all over the face to tighten and close up your pores.

Stay Beautiful. xoxo
