DIY: Face Masks

It is essential to take better care of our skin as we grow older. But sometimes, monthly facials or facial products don't always fit in our budget. Today I'm sharing two homemade face mask recipes for all skin types with you all. The ingredients are very affordable and you probably already have most of them hanging around in your kitchen. When skin isn't exfoliated, it can appear ashy and nobody wants ashy looking skin now so don't be left behind. Face masks exfoliate and moisturize skin, leaving it feeling rejuvenated, refreshing and soft. Before using any face mask, pour hot water in a bowl and put your face above it, the steam opens up your pores. Also make sure face is free of makeup and squeaky clean.

1. Honey and Lemon Face Mask
Mix two tablespoons of honey (microwave for a few minutes if hard) and juice from one lemon in to a bowl and apply all over face avoiding your eyes. Leave it on your face for 20-30 minutes so the mixture soaks into your skin. Wash off with warm water or wipe off with a damp towel. Pat face dry with a towel and follow up with a moisturizer. This face mask helps to remove dead skin cells and clear blackheads. As we all may know honey is a natural antioxidant.
INGREDIENTS- 1 lemon, 2 tablespoons of honey.

2. Yogurt Face Mask
This simple face mask works for all skin types. Mix 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt (greek or plain) with 1 tablespoon of honey (microwave if hard). Apply all over face and leave it on for 15 minutes so it all soaks in. Wash face with warm water and moisturize.
For oily skin, add fresh lime juice.
For dry skin, use an extra tablespoon of honey.
INGREDIENTS- 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/2 lime

TIP - after washing face with warm water, rub an ice cube all over the face to tighten and close up your pores.

Stay Beautiful. xoxo
